David Kaplan is the president of Kodiak Resource Development and founder of Kodiak FilmWorks. Kaplan is an award winning documentary filmmaker and fishery biologist. Kaplan’s recent films include: “The Quest for Kodiak’s Forest Giants” and “Kodiak Salmon Summer." Both films were official entries at the 2003 International Wildlife Film Festival and the 2004 Anchorage International Film Festival. Currently, Kaplan is co-producing with Swedish film company, Camera Q, “Deadly Passion” –The Timothy Treadwell Tragedy and co-producing “Accidental Statesman” –The Jay Hammond Story (Former Alaskan Governor) with Academy Award nominee and 3 time Emmy Award winner Bill Bacon.
